JEE Main 2026 Expected Schedule
- Session 1 (January 2026): Notification expected October 2025 | Exam: January 2026
- Session 2 (April 2026): Notification expected February 2026 | Exam: April 2026
- Results: Typically 3–4 weeks after each session
JEE Main 2026 Eligibility Criteria
- Must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 in 2025 or 2026
- No age limit for JEE Main (removed from 2021)
- Maximum 3 consecutive years of attempts allowed
- Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 12
- Minimum 75% in Class 12 required for IIT/NIT admission (65% for SC/ST)
Exam Pattern (Expected to Continue from 2025)
- 90 questions: 30 each in Physics, Chemistry, Maths
- Section A: 20 MCQ questions | Section B: 10 numerical questions (attempt 5)
- Total marks: 300 | Marking: +4 correct, -1 wrong (Section A only)
- Duration: 3 hours
